Hi guys,

Will soon be transplanting a Tickford 6 motor ( EF I believe) and attached auto into my EA Falcon.

(If this has been covered before, and it probably has, please show link - search, came up empty)

What am I up against?
To my knowledge everything should just bolt straight in. I do have an EL xr6 j3 chip available to me which is running on the stock EA. I realise that will need a retune.

Ill be moving away from the clutch fan for new EL thermo fans that I have sitting here.

Would like to hear from anyone what has experience with this. Cheers in advance.

thanks for the invite mate. I had a read and realised that you've put in an 8 and Im just swapping in a tickford 6 where an EA 6 is coming out.. tad different, I should have been clearer. My bad.

I don't know what you read...
I've done exactly what you are wanting to so.

EL tickford engine
T5 instead of auto though.

Into an NA fairlane, same as a EA.

Engine is a complete running Tickford 6, so I guess it will be the EL inlet thats on it. And the EA I have is a Tickford30 (not really a tickford but it has the wings) 4speed auto.
