In the process of rebuilding my el xr6.

What brand of rings have people used?

I've used Grant rings before and had no issues, but cant get these until middle of january next year

I'm thinking Hastings or NPR.

Any help would be great

Does anyone know if you can use au crank in the el block without any issues?

I've got the engine apart and have noticed the crank is in rather average condition

You can't use an AU Crank in an EF/EL block as the main bearings are larger with the AU (unless it is a Hybrid block)

EF cranks are 12 counterweights instead of eight as well.
