Hey Fuzion,
what about rain in the airbox? I know that its a noob question (and I have asked my share of those) but never got a concise answer.
A little moisture would get in the scoups, into the box. Does the filter stop the moisture? Is the minimal ammount of moisture bad?
Besides You can always put the mesh back under the scoup (in winter) right ?
Alex C.

drazzzz, there already is a mesh on the actual scoop to stop drunken foogs trying to put s**t in there and any large rock/item that may enter on or off the road lol.

as i said i will basically do a cover over the pod filter but just havent had the time.. was on the dyno this evening again and yeah more time!

ahhh Erm, umm.

I see, the whole rain thing is just a kind of wacky to me. These along with some other exterior mods form 'phase two' so I am a little inquisitive thats all. (eg. What about car wash? = Use common sence)

Cheers.

car wash? well just put a plastic bag underneath the scoop when you do it and its fine.

Just curious Fuz but have we got some dyno results yet? did you get a gain or did you lose performance? :)

Thanks

here are a few of mine, similar idea to what fuzion has done..

I change scoops to the original one if it is pissing down with rain, just to help it a little. However with the pod pointing down in the box, it hasnt got wet yet.. *had this setup for about 4 months*

I doubt there would be any performance gains, hey, may even be a loss. I didnt do it expecting large power gains... I did notice better throttle response just from the pod. However i dare say the scoop makes no difference at all. Its mostly cosmetic.

btw fuzion, you did a nice job

stevo, looks sweet dude!

yeah, its more a throttle response but at cruise speed if you have a trip computer you will notice the drop in litre/per hundred dramatically!

rain sucks! ill sort mine out soon as i can be assed basically lol

my idea was a oval cover that sits ontop (oval as shaped to the top part of the pod) so the water drips around/down past it... could be a goer, who knwos! try and pod!

Steve, no worries will do mate.

Got someone whose making a carbon fibre cover for me (real carbon fibre not stickered lol) but otherwise i was thinking some thin alluminium which you can bend yourself or even heat up slightly to bend quite easily.

I was going to say as well your hole for the airbox lid is quite small? You can actually make it a fair bit bigger as well without overdoing it.

Image thats how big ive done mine?

How much would it roughly cost to get the scoop sprayed the colour of your car? I dont have the skill or right equipment to do it myself, im just trying to punch some numbers and see if its worth doing.
