Hey all,

Was just wondering what the best type of oil would be for a 4.0L AU falcon?
There is so many different types!!!
What do you's run?
And what kind of viscosity is best?

ford say to use a 10w30 or a 5w30 oil.

just pick a brand and get the right viscosity in that brand and you will have no problems
then only ever use that brand of oil.
it's changing brands all the time that creates wear problems

Penrite or you could try Penrite. No matter which one you get you'll be getting quality.

No, seriously it is top stuff.

Penrite HPR 15 is prolly the best as it is semi-synthetic, and it is half the price of fully synthetic and just as good IMO.

Or if you can get your hands on it Gulf Western Oil is good stuff too, more expensive than most oils but very good quality. They use it in the Konica V8 series etc.

But hard to get a hold of as i said.. :?
