hi

which engine is the best out of a ed/el xr6 engine with new head gasket and a au std engine

which head is the best out of a ed/el xr6 engine with new head gasket and a au std engine

and which engine is best and which head is best

au bottom ends are better, heads are about even, ticky heads have the 41mm exhaust valve but so does the au. cams are different, but ticky cams are very minimal different

any more information on engines and heads whats best, thanks

for a ed 6 cyl is it better to go new block with xr head and cam or a 2nd hand au 6 cyl long engine replace all gaskets and seals before it goes in and bolt all edd accs back on and put in a au xr non vct cam

If you need a replacement engine, I would just go the wreckers and get a low km AU engine.

Most large wreckers will do the engine coversion for you. I remember on ebay a wrecker was selling converted AU falcon engines with modified sumps so they would clear the crossmember on e-series falcons.
