Im sure FTG autosalvage can ship to NZ.

Dynowog is modifying the cam gears and phasers so they wont be fully variable but they will be able to switch positions whenever we choose. AFAIK they will be fully adjustable as well so we can get optimum cam timing for quicker spool and still get the same top end power that we want as well.

I cant wait to get it back so I can fit the turbo gear on.

quick question before this thread slips away?

Had a quote for an fpv typhoon engine, what did fpv do to the xr6t to get extra power and torque? and also what are the key differences between bf and ba engines if any? or are they just facelift variants?

Appreciate all the opinions guys!

that would be extremely cool if u got a ba motor goin in your waggin :D

i'm pretty sure the difference between the turbo and typhoon motor is:
-dual entry airbox
-50% bigger intercooler
-engine oil cooler
-heavy duty valve springs
-stronger conrods

think thats it.... i brought a MOTOR magazine when it first got revealed and thats what they said the difference was

dez

There's been so many people who have thought about this mod.

Can't wait for someone to do it (besides JETXR).

The idea of a BA XR6T motor into a well sorted, stock looking EF Wagon is brilliant! Love it!

Feasibility wise, you need to look at it this way;
A) You are looking for some extra, meaningful grunt on a budget
B) You genuinly LOVE the sleeper idea and want that XR6T motor in your EF wagon and you don't care how much it costs to get it
C) You want a head turning show stopper that is different from the rest

Answers;
A) Turbo (hell, cam, pipe and chip the thing for more grunt) the EF motor
B) Sling the XR6T motor into your wagon at all costs. And do it. No talk. Do it. Then show us so that we can drool over it. :D
C) Forget about that house you want, the kids to see in your near future and start thinking about the overtime you'll need to work to pay for this beast! :D
