Anyone that has
Changed a coil or dizzy in a EB would know. How retarded the engineers are that designed the car.

I know that the Eb’s weren’t designed with mechanic in mind.
Id like to sit down with the engineers that designed the car and tell them my 2 cents worth.

Now that’s that’s off my chest

Here is my problem

I have an EB2
EL block
New coil
New omvl gas converter.
Checked for Vacuum leaks.
Cheeked the map sensor swapped with one of a working car still the same.

My car was running like a dream up until three days ago. When I noticed it started to play up on gas. It would just stutter. Then it started to do the same on petrol.

When its cold its okay. Stats fine runs fine.

When my car is hot it takes forever to start. It runs like a Dog, it stutters when you plant the foot and takes for ever to get up to speed. Usually wont go over 100 with the foot flat to the floor. Just stutters and jerks around.

It will idle okay but when you plant the foot and when its hot enough it will stall. It dose this on both petrol and Gas. This is really driving me crazy.

I plan to replace the dizzy but don’t want to as it’s a c**t of a job. I’d prefer to take my brain out through my nose.

Any one got any ideas why my car is retarded ?

Any help would be Appreciated thank you

How is it retarded? Where else is it supposed to go?

There are a few cars going around that have some very unfriendly designs. After working on them, the I6 falcon engine bay is a dream to work in.

might want to check the O2 sensor, or the MAP sensor, or it could be as simple as a faulty coil lead?

So how was the coolent sensor causing the problem, and what made you look to it as the cause of the problem?

a malfunctioning CTS will keep the car in the warmup maps, making it run rich. (either this or not put the car in warmup mode when it is cold which will stall thecar when cold)
