the fairmont ghia EF engine is pretty much the same engine as the xr6 EF engine yeah?, i think its got a bout 2kw less power thats all. just having an argument with a mate.

Its just the extractors or headers that are different. More restrictive so there is less noise for people who want luxury. Its the same for the V8s.
Put a decent set of extractors on and you'll probably get power than the stock XR motor.

yeah sweet, im more interested in gettin a v8 for it anyway so no extractors, ill just drive it till she dies, then chuck a v8 in her.

headers are the same. the XR6 got a 2.5 inch exhuast with better flowing mufflers.

Lots of people have painted it red, has it got the T in the front of the head? pull off the shroud covering the power steering pump, and have a look, as i said in the first post, AFAIK, only s2 got it, thats means i may be wrong, anyone?

i heard on here a long time ago that ford ran out of stock engines for the falcons and had to fit tickfords, only about 20 or so. the rockers covers are green.

What models we talkin about here, EFs? i thought all EF standards were silver/black, i thought gas was green, ticky red, what am i missing here, all engines i seen are blackish colour.
