hey guys just wondering about a few things about cats
im not that educated in much about cats and the different types, benifets downfalls etc, price wise thier uses

basically i got a full 2."5 system on my el with stock cat and im going to be putting some paceys on and wondering about putting a cat on while im there, i just dont no much about them
im hoping to get a nice sound outta the car not worried about droning etc
brands and types would help all i really heard about is catback magnaflow and highflow
also ot looking to spend a huge amount of cash either
any help explaining the differences pros and cons of differnt cats would be appriciated

a 200 CPI cat is sufficient for you N/A 6 if your looking at that side of thing, lowest you can go it 100CPI legally, but the extra cost is negated by the fact that you will not pick up any noticable gain over a 200CPI unit, also look at flange size too you want 2.5" in and out if your running paceys and 2.5" system.

apparently stock cats are made with 400cpsi for emissions reasons (correct me if im wrong)

so the best you can do is 100cpsi, aim for that

comparision....

I'd just get a 200cpsi one. There won't be any restriction and it will most likely be legal. I doubt a 100cpsi would pass emissions.

I had a 400cpsi ceramic cat, which recently decided to fall to bits. The ceramic isn't very strong. I ended up gutting it for a few days to stop the rattling, it didn't realy run noticeably different. I ended up getting a venom one off ebay for 180. It's a bit deeper sounding than the other one and its got a metal core so it wont fall apart. But realy if the stock one isn't stuffed there's no real performance benefit on a stockish 6.
