Hey so i noticed latly that there's like a weird rattling sounds when my fg xr6 is idling
it dosn't seem to be it as noisy idling after a tune up ? , dosn't seem to be problems under accleration or anything was wondering if someone could tell us why ?? or had simlar problems ??? |

can you pinpoint area in engine bay

no can't say for sure sounds like its coming from the pully area if thats what you call them
where the fan belt is |

most likely cause would be the timing chain tension-er is not set properly , or the chain guides are borked

Yeah if its a rattle its possibly the timing chain, hard to tell if we cant hear it for ourselves

i have the same issue too. also had the same issue in my ba. although it seems to go away once the car has reached full operating temp for me. comes from somewhere infront of me while sitting at the lights. (hard to tell if dash or engine or possibly forward drivetrain) im considering that it could just be an aftermarket exhaust warming up?
