no im not after drugs, ive got a ba xr6 its fitted with a slip diff, i want to track down a LSD.
what should i be looking for as in the whole diff or just the center. also if i source one from a xr6t, is the gear ratio different and if so is it geared more to acceleration or high speed.

All XR6s ever from my knowledge came with an LSD so why it has a single pegga is pretty strange to me.
You might as well try ebay, a wreckers or pay a drive line guy to source a center and fit it

AU XR6 HP started the single, NOT BA.

i had a mate who brought a au hp xr6 new and it did not come with lsd, apparently it was an added option... i was a little suprised...

ba xr6's did not come standard with an lsd, they were an option. they are also a smaller diff compared to the xr6t and xr8- i believe from memory the xr6's have an M-78 and the xr6t-xr8 have a M-86 the cv shafts are smaller too. id suggest to get an lsd center and make sure its out of an xr6t. and get it rebuilt at the time when u buy it as its too common that they get alot of back lash and need to be rebuilt (mine had to be done)

M86 needs: Cradle, Halfshafts, Tailshaft. Get an AU IRS LSD centre.

they phased out LSD's to save costs. plus they reckon the fitment of traction control will compensate

fair enough for that. should have explained my self. unless you have power eg XR6t GT etc you have both.

back in the day XR6 - LSD, Fairmont Ghia - LSD. you bought the expensive car, you got LSD

Not quite, LSD's are now only fitted to the Performance range, so XR6T, F6, GT, GS. It was a cost cutting measure, and also, how many XR6 Fleet/Rental cars need an LSD? That is the main sales for the car, so give them what they need, if they want more, pay for it.

that is true. but i'm saying in the EF/L days and earlier if you bought a XR6, Fairmont Ghia etc LSD was standard
