Not sure on how to open the heater with the computer controlled climate gizmo that the EL Ghias have.

For example, when you'd just turn the dial on a base model all the way to 'red'... how do I convert that to the climate control on the Ghia?

Also, would I need to bleed the system, or would it do it by itself?

Cheers,
Russ.

Set the Temperature as this as possible and turn the heater on demist. No you will not need to do any special bleeding as the system wil self bleed.

So whack it on 30 degrees, and press the demister button?
Then Ill just whack the hose down the guts of the thermostat housing and let it flush

its best to remove the climate control module from the dash, and fill it with fresh coolant.

use a funnel and pour into the front vent at the bottom

How do you get it out :S
And when you flush it out, do you have to put something over the terminals/contacts?
I've never done it before....

Cheers,
Russ.

Just drain and flush coolant as per usual, make sure engine is cool when you do it.To re
fill, set climate control to 32 degrees, refill cooling system to min/add mark on header tank, replace cap to first click only.Start and run engine at 2000rpm for 10 minutes.Stop engine and top up coolant to full/max mark on header tank. This procedure taken from factory workshop manual.

Just pull the vacumn hose off the heater tap. Default for the tap is open......

Drain, flush, refill with coolant.

When finished, put the vac line back on the heater tap.
