ok guys had some info on fluishing out the rad at home not sure hwo effective or true this is
drain 2 ltrs or soo of coolant and add 2 ltrs of coke and run for 10 mins then flush it out?

would this work or am i being told porkie pies?

i have heard of coke being used for lots of things but not flushing a cooling sysytem

never heard that one befor.

but i'd say a proper radiator flush would be better.

hmmm i wouldnt try it, i fuess it has something to do with the amount of sugar tho, may work as i said i wouldnt try it though

u might give your car a caffine buzz..... ive herd about puting vinigar in and let it idle for 10 min's
also to flush out your oil, you use turps and let it idle for 10 mins..

I dont know how effective it is but people have given it a try....

nar for oil u buy some cheap s**t oil from coles and add some kero i think

nar i think we try the coke trick as it can clean s**t loads of other things

Coke contains carbonic acid which could be used for removing scale. I think radiator flush is still the way to go franky...

There certainly is some radiator flush on the market. Have it at the local servo near my place. Dunno what its called - wynns radiator flush, i imagine lol. Thick stuff, not nice but does a good job. Basically after dropping coolant, fill system with water, add flush and run car for 10 minutes. Drain and make sure flush all of the... um... flush

Do you have to take the thermostat out to do a proper flush, I would imagine that you couldn't exactly drain all of the 'flush' out of the system if you didn't.
