my dads smartshield keypad is f**k so you have to use to the key to unlock his series 2 au xr6 ute. i unlocked the car then went to start it but the ignition barrel wouldnt turn. i then realised that i had my step mums focus key... got out and testest it and i was right, the focus key would ulock the falcon. doesnt seem too secure ay. got the old man a bit worried haha

If it wont turn in the barrel and will in the door then its gotta have a shagged door lock...
Keeping in mind, any tibbe key can be used to lock any tibbe lock... But only the right tibbe key will unlock the right lock... Cheers, Tim

Had my car unlocked, lost the keys, was standing frustrated with my EB's keys, and one thing led to another and I had a now locked car with no keys!

Had my car unlocked, lost the keys, was standing frustrated with my EB's keys, and one thing led to another and I had a now locked car with no keys! haha s**t thats unlucky. yeh i knew the ford keys all lock one another but was shocked when it opened the old boys car. il let him know about the shagged door lock. he has been using the lock for about a year because hes too lazy to replace the battery. maybe this is why it could be rooted... mystery  thanks boys

if you've got another key try it and seeif it still works... or alternatively try the focus key in the passenger door... If Au's have one in the passenger door... Just a thought...

Cheers, Tim nah they dont have a passenger door keyhole. think it was el onwards that they were deleted. definately something he needs to get sorted though as its a pretty nice car... leather, momo gear, premo sound, 5 speed...fun to drive haha. dont want it stolen |
