What's the point, don't they only have like 162kw?

Turbo the stock engine. Would go quicker since the extra torque would do better with the weight of the falcon.

2jz turbo, maybe. 1jz turbo or non turbo, why bother, xr6 puts out the same power. for the hastle with enginnering and modding everything, time and money better spent on turbo kit of falcon that will do the same job with less weight

I say do it.

You could have a 1JZ in there running for about 10 grand-ish.

Halfcuts are a plenty and those motors are bulletproof. With a few small mods they perform very well.

of course it can be done...

fuel lines and exhaust are on the same side as toyota engines.
would need custom engine mounts, gearbox mounts and tailshaft (really none of that is too hard)
wiring would be fun if you wanted the dash to work, but as falcons use electronic pickups for everything again it wouldnt be that huge a deal.

expect to pay out the a** if you cant do any of this yourself though...

Its a good idea but now that the XR6T motor is available and drops straight in its not really worth stuffing around imo.
