Welcome to the forum.

Best thing you can do as a new member is have a read and see what is around. Most of the questions you have posted are answered in the sticky's at the top of the workshop so have a look though there.

Check out the tech documents section for an excellent set of instructions on manual conversions by voxace.

mate not trying to have a go at ya pal, but i think the standard 4.0L is powerful enough for a l & p plater. maybe a exhuast or a bigger intake would be good for sound and throttle response but unless ur going to take it to a track or drag it theres no point doin much to it. A. your insurance will hit u up for it
B. The cops will do you for it as i understand over east
C. your inexperianced ( no offence but its the truth)

Take it from a victim of a P plater car acciedent ( i was passenger) to much power can only mean trouble when your young. i learnt that the hard way, 2 and a half month in hospital and still suffering. Your better off saving your cash for when you a bit older and you can get something a bit more powerfull or spend some money on a club motorsport car and get some experiance.

I bet your thinkg "f**k off, i can drive" but im not rtying to put you down, im just trying to offer you good advice. and i think some of the mature people on here will agree.

Cheers
Glen

WTF is your point?

What is the point of modifying your car only to wrap it around a tree? Learn how to handle the stock 4.0L (properly) before you go modifying it.

I did answer your question I said look through the stickys. Don't be a smart a** and read the whole post before replying. For future reference.

Okay I'm a P plater, and honestly, you do not really more power then an i6 provides with the kind of experiance we have.

Saying this, I drive a BA with 185.3rwhp/138rwkw. This is standard, and I know it's a bit silly because of how I drive. Also I want to do the whole exaust thing as well, It will increase my power, and fuel economy.

Is it a good idea?

Probably not.

I have a friend with a faster car then me, he's had three accidents and has only had his licence about 8 months. It's not really a good idea.

My point is, just be careful.

I know we do these mod's because we enjoy it, and want to improve our cars, which is fine. Just really don't go for the ones that are going to give you 300rwkw for a few years.

Enjoy your car mate.
