i bought a ford telsta v6 and when i dragged it it managed to pull a embrassing 18.6 stock. since i have added extracters, exaust system, pod- filter, unichip and a new coolair intake. does any 1 have any idea of what it will run? the car feels much faster but id still like to save myself from further embrassment.
thank you

Sounds like you may have shaved about 1-2 seconds off depends what sort off parts ie brand and size of exhaust, pod etc, was the 6cyl front wheel spinner or rear wheel is it auto/man???

Is it auto or manual?

Lets face it tho, they are no drag strip bandit!

With 121kw's and quite peaky curves, they are not exactly going to eat 400m for breakfast. The gearing in the auto is not well matched to the engines power delivery either, dropping right out of the power with every gear change.

I would've expected a manual to throw down about a mid to high 16 and the auto to be somewhere in the mid to high 17's, so I spose it is a little off the pace.

Don't be embarrassed tho, they are a great car to drive and have a pretty good spec level for interior goodies. (love the swing) and they look great, still looking modern even after (up to) 14 years.

Take it to Heathcote.
No big crowds like Calder on a friday night, and one gives a f**k what you run.
And 1-2 seconds is, hmm, slightly optimistic on ruchEA's part...
Low 18's, maybe a dip into high 17's, could be better though.
I dunno how restricted Telstars are.

Now, please excuse me while I go burn my car...

AY nuthin wrong with optimism! my experience with telstars has been all good seem to respond well to mods aswell (depending on wat you do) With a manual shoulda pulled better than 18.6 have you dragged b4 coz if you drivin well id be lookin at whats wrong.

18.6??? How is this possible?

How much do they weigh? 2 tonne???

s**t, my GF's Focus would pull quicker times than that!!!

That seems WAY to slow for the spec...

What is going on people?

sounds like he has i little too much respect for his car  since its a manuel try launching it between 3500-3800 Rpm then revving it till 5800 comes up.

Flogging cars is fun
