Gday guys

Did the Tickford equipped EF/EL Fairmont Ghia's come with the same fuel pressure regulators as an XR6? or were they the same as a normal motor spec FPR?

I'm asking as I'm collecting the bits for a tickford head swap at the moment. Anything else I need to know?

If it has a tickford motor, yes it will have the 300kpa reg, check anyway? It says on the side of the reg.

Anything else you need to know? ~ yes, dont snap the top timing chain guide when you lift the head off, and.. there is a search button up the top of the website, there is many many topics on fuel regs and head swaps. Phongus did a complete guide on how to somewhere on here, have a search for that.

Thanks mate, How do you prevent snapping the top timing chain guide? is it just by removing the bolt that goes through it or is there more to it than that lol?

Make sure you take the bolt out, and its when your lifting the head off the block, if its not as square as possible when your lifting it theres a chance itll catch on and snap the top guide, just something to keep an eye on and be careful around..
