Got my new exhaust (cat back for now). Is a bit softer than I would prefer but still sounds good. He said it would get louder, what i'd like to know is does it get much louder. The blokes at performace exhaust ringwood were really good, I pretended to know nothing about exhausts to test them and they answered everything accurately no BS. I got a redback 2 1/2" mandrel bent with 'dump style' tip cause of the shape of the xt's bumper blocking the exhaust. All up, cost $360 which is pretty good considering it costs more cause I got IRS.

Heres a sample of the sound, not the best quality cause it was done with the phone.

hehe, its the worst having it in your bedroom, teases you every time you wake up. I might remove the rear resonator after I get extractors if it doesn't get any louder. Or how does a hotdog work in this case, I noticed you saying you wanted 1 in yours phong.

well instead of a rear muffler u get a resonator.....it supposedly gives a better sound....and louder too but im going to stick with a muffler just incase the cops are up my a**. i think the resonator/hot dog just keeps some of the exhaust sound in through resonance and such considering its called a resonator. but thats what i think anyway.....all i know is that the exhaust note will change and be louder then a rear muffler.

i'm pretty sure they only supply redbacks there. I didn't think i'd feel much casue it was only a cat back by I definately noticed a difference, even more responsive now. Can't wait to get the extractors too. I just got my credit card in the mail today so I better be careful with it...
