Has anyone fitted a 4.0L into an XR-XT? I've got an XT that I'm playing with and an AUII 4.0L. Have most of the bits to do this.. eg Bellhousin adapter to my C4, E series engine to mounts brackets, XE rubber mounts and XD lower K frame mounting blocks.

The lower blocks wont bolt in with out some modification. and the alignment of the engine mount bolts are a bit narrow by about 15mm a side.

My question to you all is... is there a easier way to bolt this in other that modifying what I have got.. or is there some sort of combination of mounts and bracket that will drop this straight in?

Any help would be appreciated!!

XG mounts are the same as EA -EL. They work fine with XD -XF. Not the early stuff!!!

The cross member looks very similar to an XD -XF, but not qite the same.
Looks as if I will have to manufacture a set of K frame to eng mount brackets.
