ive got an ea cfi 3.9L auto,and i wana take use the bbm style manifold setup.
-would the au head bolt straightup to the ea block using the manifold off the au and fitting that?
-or would the el be less problems using the head off it?

-and also if using the el bbm,would you need the fuel pump and dizzy off an el,or you can use the ea mpif pump and dizzy as mines the cfi.if this question has been asked before,would any post the thread so i can look into what i need for the conversion from a-b.

AU Head will fit no dramas as long it is a NON-VCT Head. search the site there are countless threads and queastions.

search CFI to MPFI conversion cause that is basically what it is.. BUT you would need to get the info about the whole bbm setup...

Unfortunately, you can't use the BBM from the AU. It is different to the EF/EL BBMs. You can use the AU head with the EF/EL BBM. You will also need an EL (not EF) ECU and BBM switch solenoid to make the BBM functional.

It may just be easier to replace the whole engine.

you an run Au head and el cam and rocker gear over here in nz we run them in stock cars depending on cam grind ,cause the cam folowers need to be shimed but you run in to oil preasure problems so you fit lash caps to tops of valves this fixes the problem straight away,
