Just wondering if anyone knows how thick the short side radius on the intake and exhaust ports are on the I6.?

I'm about to get it ported and my mate hasn't done a I6 before and we don't want to take it too far if it's quite thin.

get a scrap head and see. I think there is a bit of meat there. I will be doing something to the short side radius on a I6 shortly and am wondering how much to take out also. There is an article on autospeed called "Porting Gains" and it mentions "laying back" the short side radius, but without seeing it a little hit and miss affair.

I wont get to the short side for a few weeks but when i do I will check the thickness then but sure there is plenty there..

i say just go to a weckers and see if you can size one up or just when you take yours off do it then.

i did it to my XR6 head and they have a bit of room to move on them
