a heads up for those that have an ef (may affect other models too), that the interior light fuse is VERY important if you want your car to start.

for some reason, smartlock won't let your car start, unless this fuse in working.

(yes, you guessed it, I found out the hard way)

so keep a few handy in the glove box

smartlock runs on the same circut as the interior light :)

Also if the globe in the interior light is blown or missing it can have the same effect :roll: :twisted: :twisted:

discovered that myself last week working on my new project.... pulled out the fuse to not flatten the battery then it wouldn't start anymore

After changing the interior light i dicovered that neither it or my CD player was working any ideas???

the crt lamp fuse also joins into the radio lume, what exactly did you change ?? just the globe or ??

Would'nt this be done to deter 'nightime thieves that would remove the interior globe so as not to be seen....Then relaise the car won't start anyways...LOL!!

The domelight being blown or missing will not affect smartlock power in any way.
The CRT LP fuse is the relevant item.
