As others have said you could have just yanked on the cable that goes to the boot lock. If you traumatised youself as much as you say then you should make it your business to find out how to open it manually! Maybe practise from outside the boot, just incase :P

PS: I know I'd use my head to try and bash something open if also had a baseball bat on me!

PSS: You don't play soccer for france do you ?

Lol, I've had a poke around, but I can't find the cable. I asked someone to take a picture for me, but alas, no help.

I used my head because I went nuts remember, lol. Don't worry the baseball bat got a good work out too.

No, though I used to play for school and club, lol.

Ok Houdini :P

I assume being a fairmont you have the carpet boot lining. Remove that, or even just one of the plastic retainer plug thingo from the corner and you can access the boot release cable.

If you remove the few plugs down the drivers side you can access the cable further back as well.

Argh, lol.

I had to 2 friends play a good one on me the other night. Friend has a ute and a big toolbox on the back. Was saying only room for two in the cab, and I had to get in the toolbox, pillow and all.

I started to freak big time remembering the boot, and was basically stepping back saying, "no, no, I can't".

I think it was because I was chugging some Cougar earlier that I forgot basically all Japanese two door utes can seat three, lol.

i have a wrecker thats reasonable, never sells fuses or relays, mostly go to crusher.i get a shopping bag of him and help my self to rows of ef-el and au fords, take all relays, switches, fuses, interior switches and door -window bits, loose screws-clips and any thing i may need---filled 2 bags cost $25 beer money for him but i carry a few light globes, relays and fuses and main body fuses in the boot,do it for all my cars,a few minutes to replace anywhere.

Yeah I'm on the newsletter list, but Volkerball is pretty damn expensive for the better packs. If a bare bones edition makes it here, I might pick it up.
