I did a search before i asked this, but all i came up with was standard install options.

What i want to do is to put a switch inside the car that will turn on the thermos whenever the car is on.

(Standard EL setup)

I was thinking that i could use power from the cig lighter then put a switch in and tap into a wire at the ECU.

Problem - judging from the tec docs on here, the ECU sends a 0volt signal to the fan relays. And i am unsure of which pin to use (33 or 53) to make sure both come on high speed.

So do i just put the switch on the wires out of the ecu, or do i have to put 12volts on it and also which pin.

Thanks in advance

what ever you do dont run 12v to the ecu pins.

pin 33 and 53 are earth triggers. if you run 12v to these pins you will more than likely fry the ecu ..
