Yes... I'd like to hear the reasons behind this statement as well.

JMM have spent alot of time and money on development, and its reflected in the end product and prices. They tend to have a fairly loyal customer base as they can provide proven results all in one factory.

Im running a Dev 5 cam and have had nothing but trouble with it. As told by brendon at JMM, this cam has "back lash issues, and results in an unsuall sounding rattle" This i only found out AFTER i purchased the cam[$490] and had it installed by my engine builder, after it snapped the timming chain guide!

Broken timing chain guides can't really be blamed on the cam, it is typical of a poor installation unfortunatly. There are many people out there that are very happy with the JMM gear. It is true that they are overpriced for what you get, but they have done the research and generally get very decent results.

fair enough, but for the amount of stuff they produce thats a reasonably small dissatisfaction rate.. obviously not desirable though.. I've heard mixed reports as well some rave about em some are sitting on the fence, yep agreed overpriced considering the amount of other gear out there and the rest of the market being in touch price wise. but you want the JMM name you pay for it.

My facts are the outrageous quotes i got from them such as $2000 for mpfi conversion $2400 for manual conversion. With that on top of the cost of dev kit + engine rebuild, its not worth it. Especially when others such as alted or IT's do these for a lot cheaper.

im sought of on the fence, i've heard his products are quite good, i have the DEV5 package, but its not installed so i cant tell you first hand, but his human relations are crap, and he is a C**k head if u ask me, but the results speak for themselves on his cam/head packages, very pricey. After how he dogged me the other week i dont think i will go through him ever again.

Also I got quoted $1850 for an LSD conversion from him!? yet you go round the corner to the next diff bloke and grab the conversion for $1100.

they quote this cause they don't wanna do the job, and if they do do it its gonna be worth their while.. I'd personally never get JMM to do something my local mechanic can do.
