hey guys need a little help on how to set the timming on my au i put a timming light on it and it was about 3cm to the right of the timing mark. how do i set it and how do i put it in like tune mode help asap

I dont know if you can without a computer, au's are little more complex than their predicessors

use the old fasion method of the screw driver in no.1 cylinder and wind the motor over by hand when its at its highest mark the balencer and go from there.

timing isn't locked at idle.
chance are it's fine, unless you have some other reason to believe the timing is wrong.

your timing might be showing thats its out as the ecu needs to be in diagnostic mode to read the timing.. although it wont matter anyway as the au ignition timing is non adjustable unless you have a flash tuner or some kind of tuning device..

i think its wrong because the car is using half tank of gas to get me 100 ks the tune is fine its just got no power and uses huge amount of fuel. how to i put it in to diag mode ??

Probably not timing if economy is real terrible. Check the 02 sensor.

He used the o2 sensor to do the tune so wouldnt that rule the 02 sensor out ??as thats what he used to get the reading.
or does it stil not rule that out ?? |

when he set the mixtures on the gas he used the sensor to set them that what i mean by tune.Is my best bet to send it to a ford dealer and get them to sort it out or what ?
