My TB was filthy so had to clean something.
Did you get any white smoke?

I tried nulon intake foam made a big difference ,i had troubles with the idle between gas and petrol for a while after using it the idle went from a staggered 300-400 rpm to 1100rpm on gas and after adjusting idle its the smoothest its been in years and idling at 650 rpm on gas even throttle response is great now ,with engine off sprayed some in the TB ,half can down pcv pipe and the rest in the cylinders wait 5 min and start it ,blew a bit of smoke ,

Ill second the Nulon stuff, works a well. Also to the bloke using the brake fluid, while it works well on the old carbies, its not the best to use on injected cars. Wouldnt touch that stp crap or the Whynns stuff in the injector cleaner lines, waste of cash and its crap. Once again use the Nulon injector cleaner or total fuel system cleaner, its cheap and works a treat.

i bought the s**t cheapest throttle body cleaner from supercheap.

Done the best job out...

1) Remove Intake pipes etc
2) start car & let it warm up for a few minutes
3) get someone to keep car revs at around 3500 - 4000 RPM
4) spray the hell out of the throttle body (up & down left & right)
5) keep spraying even though it sounds like it will stall
6) after around 1/2 to 3/4 of a can your inlet & TB should be like new again.
7) use some cleaner in your ISC as well.

i followed the instructions on my carby & TB cleaner can, clean engine cold, then start, then spray more, all it did was flood the engine and stalled the car :? . gonna try round two this weekend with someone pressing the accelerator pedal while i spray, damn i miss good old fly-by-cable. stupid electronic throttle is s**t and never should have been invented.
