i have a ef xr6 thats running like a piece of s**t hunting and sometimes stalling on start up what can help stop this?

Well, without a battery, the car will not start.

It will therefore, not run like s**t, stall or hunt.

Problem solved. ;-)

Sorry, I have been drinking!!

Check for vac line and manifold leaks. Check/clean ISC and throttle body. Check plugs and leads.

Any work or maintenance performed recently that could've been a precursor to your problems??

try cleaning all connections and make sure ya map sensor is working and check your plug gap too or try a new fuel filter

ahh k i put new plugs and leads on it bout 5000ks ago and it was doing it then so ill try cleaning everything and try gettind a new fuel filter

is the car running ritch at all?
is it doing anything else out of the ordinary?

first thing to check would be the ISC which is bolted to the throttle body.
while you're there you should clean the t/b also.
its common for the ISC to become clogged with oil and it can sometimes freak out.
but it sounds like you may have a vacuum leak of some sort.

do you have a boost/vacuum gauge you can use to test?
