Hi all.
I have a 1996 ford falcon ef digital series 2,with a tickford engine. I wanted to know the specs of the engine so I called ford. But they said they can't help me out because engine number could be changed etc,not sure why. Is there any other way I can find out info about my engine?? Guy at ford Said to try tickford enthusiast clubs.. Can anyone point me in the right direction, Cheers |

what numbers are cast on the front of the head?? |

Is the engine number the same as the VIN ???.....the engine won't have the 6FPAAA prefex....just something like JGSW x x x x x x x.....some thin along those lines.
If they match, then the engine is original to the car, if they don't, then it's been changed.

The year of the engine, abaty spark plugs to use,power kws and what ever other info I can get would greatly appreciated.cheers

the number on front of the head can tell what year and if its tickford or not..
no future ever came with tickford engines... |

Just dropped the car off to mechanics for a clutch change...so wouldn't be able to tell u the vin,till its done, I was told wthe engine is a tickford engine from the previous owner,and when u open the bonnet u can can see a t with wings,the engine number I provided was the one directly under that t..didn't get any numbers from anywhere else.

the number on the front of the head should be either 94dt, 95dt or 96dt..
95= year d= falcon t= tickford.. |
