Try to cover the dizzy (get a freezer bag or something in there), and plugs, try not to get too much water in any of electrical components. I usually clean the motor with it running so most of the water evaporates before it can cause problems to any electrical components.

morons. so many morons. just don't spray water directly into the air intake. the gasket around the spark plug cover will keep them dry

just don't spray a high pressure washer directly at s**t that shouldn't be wet and you'll be fine.

What steady said... Don't point it up the connector for the computer or any other major plugs... a quick sweep over most things is ok... directly and constantly pointing high pressure water up connectors and snorkels and that is no good for them...

I would avoid spraying engine cleaner or strong degreaser on the front of the engine too. Those alloy bits get all cloudy and look s**t.
