In my El 1996 fairmont the inside lights stay on, I have checked the sensors on each door and the seem to be fine.
would the BEM course this? everything else works fine, is there a fuse somewhere? |

Move the little knob that's behind the headlight switch to the centre.

Already checked all that, I have un-plugged that switch completely as well but still the lights stay on.

What was the last thing touched before the problem prevailed?
There is also a 20 second time delay on fairmonts too. possible that the bem has malfunctioned, or the circuit was over-loaded and caused this.

Been like it since i brought it, never had the bulb in. only other issue is the light behind the kms is blown but will replace that 2moro.

Do the Doors and Boot sensor have any slop in them?

The doord seem fine, unplugged each one and nothing changed. but the boot im not to sure? the light goes off in the boot whn its closed

If the light inside the boot goes off I would THINK that the boot is not the culprit.
I'm not the best expert for this one, but Personally I don't think it's the BCM, I've heard that they can do all sorts of funny things, but do take into consideration that the BCM also engages and Disengages the Smartlock, and if the BCM can't disengage the Smart lock, the ECU won't send Spark or Fuel Parameters, so the car wouldn't start in that aspect.
