ello all, i own a 98 mdl Xh Xr6 i have been told that if u hook up another injecter just after ur air box and connect it up so it shoots fuel to be sucked in by ur t/b that this will give u noticeable power gains? is this true? and also would this be a dangerious thing to do to the engine? has ne 1 tried it? and what power gains would u expect?

The ford I6 runs rich enough already, so adding even more fuel will leave the rear end of your car covered in unburnt fuel, and decrease your performance. The reason for adding another injector to your intake tubing is if you poor with a turbo and cannot afford to install a new set of higher flowing injectors to replace the standard set.

Injectors in intake are no good. They need to be positioned to fire into each port. People do use this set up sometimes with a turbo but what generally happens is number 3 & 4 cylinders end up running a lot richer as fuel is heavy and will follow the most direct line into the combustion chamber. It would be much better to use bigger injectors and get a new engine management computer.
Anyway if car is standard this is a total waste of time.

Not disagreeing with it being no good but isn't injectors in the intake basically CFI?
