I've successfully bypassed my inhibitor switch (due to an auto to manual conversion)'s simple as, you need one piece of wire about 30cm long and about 2minutes of spare time. Let me know if you want more info

yes u can! BUT not if the car is staying auto!

i really dont think that the car should be able to start in D
also the inhibitor switch runs the reverse lights!
so get rid of that and no reverse lights

cop pulls ya over and checks ya f**k!

I'm pretty sure you can if the car is staying auto, i had to put my auto back in for a few weeks while i fixed my manual box and the auto ran fine. However, it could start in any gear (good for a laugh. The car doesn't move while you are cranking it in Drive). As for if that's safe (probably not) or appropriate, it really comes down to the driver, just use your brain and make sure the car is in Park or Neutral (mine was always in park because i had no handbrake  )

Heres a doco i made on how to do the mod:

EBII 4.0L GLi | T5 | 3.27 Spool | POD | KKK K27 Turbo | 600x300x76 FMIC | 40mm Wastegate (dead) | RPD Stg1 Cam | B&M Launch Control | Thermos | 3" Dump | Twin 2.25" Zorst | 197kw@3500rpm, 7psi LEAN!

To Come: Hydraulic Handbrake | Coilover Springs | Fuel Pump | Microtech MT8 | 455cc Injectors
