Hi everyone, first of all i would like to introduce myself. I'm Steve & im new to the forums :D

I am looking at doing a budget performance setup on my Falcon & i have been looking around on what to get. I see a million different options but don't know what the best is to go for =s

I want to spend around $1500 - $2000 on my engine minus laybor as i have a uncle who is a mechanic & can help me fit everything to the motor. I would like to build the car for street & strip purposes just to give you a rough idea on what im looking for.

Can i have some recommendations from everyone please on what my best options would be with the money i would like to spend?

Here is a list of what i am running at the moment in my car..

* ED XR6 Engine + ED XR6 ECU
* ED XR6 LSD Differential
* Extractors + 2.5" Mandrel Bent Exhaust
* Red Diamond Torque Converter {2500 - 2750 RPM Range}
* Adjustable Shift Kit
* TopGun 10MM Spark plug Leads
* NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
* 52MM Twin Core Alloy Radiator
* Gates Radiator Hoses
* K&N Panel Filter

Your help is greatly appreciated :)

shorter gear ratios=better aceleration off the line
BBM=better low down torque
EL ECU=used to activate the BBM
Cam=Better performance in which ever rev range to the cam you chose
J3 Chip=tune the engine up for better power or if the cam you put in requires a tune

I'm trying to get away with keeping the mods already done to my car without changing anything as it was all done recently. There use to be a 3.9 CFI in there.

I was looking at some of these mods so tell me what you think..

* Crow Cam Stage 3 Camshaft
* Crow Cam Valve Springs
* Crow Cam Vernier Cam Gear
* J3 Chip {Adjusted to the cam}

and if needed then i will purchase a EL computer.

you will only need the EL ECU if you are going to convert it to BBM, otherwise it wont work properly. my car doesnt start when i put el ecu in so om just using the eb computer for now. probly cause mine aint smartlock

your running a BTR auto with 3.45 diff gears......... that combo right there will hold you back and make every other mod you spend money on feel pointless. The BTR has the longest 1st gear in the universe so if you want to get the power down and stay n/a then you either fit mega short diff gears and stay auto, or fit a T5 and keep your current gears

leave them in first and they wind out to around 80kmh
