when you install the j3 chip is the fan supposed to start up on ignition?

Does the fan start up with out the car running ? If so the terminals haven't been cleaned properly,

Unplug the J3 chip, clean the contacts properly. There isn't sufficient contact between the chip and ECU.

Yeah clean the j3 port as good as u can I had a problem where my car would buck, and back fire , we tried everything , new ecu, retune, new chip, but turned out I didn't clean the ports enough on both ecu's, I used sandpaper and I screwdriver I swear I scraped it all off, if ur problems continue keep cleaning until they stop
