I have found Brendan great to deal with. Their gear may be expensive compared to putting a package together yourself, but remember that you are paying for a package that is known to work and does produce results, along with their vast experience in these cars. If you think you can do better, by all means go ahead, but understand why you are paying more first!

I found that too......ar5eholes.......

As did i, some of their stuff is good but its over priced. Brendan Mock is useless he is too interested in playing RC cars with his dero mates than helping you unless he can empty your wallet for you. I had my car tuned their and it pinged on the way home!!! And he didnt care about trying to see why! he didnt notice i havent wired my knock sensor in either(probably why it pings) he doesnt care about you unless you spend say 5k. I wouldnt going back their again.

I HIGHLY recommend you dont go their!

not that i'm sticking up for the the mockeries at all (much the contrary) but a jobs still a job, and contantly getting asked stupid questions probably doesn't appeal to him funny enough. he obvioulsy charges enough to not care about lost business and lets face it, who wouldn't if they could ?

that said he still ressembles a phalic skin coloured object.....

It took me four tries to find a performance workshop that was honest, had the expertise and good customer support to satisfy me. Don't give up your search.

See, now i dont know about that. What proof do u have that Joes cams are better?

and which cams are we talking about?.... mild or wild cams?..... I was thinking about the Dev 3HL Cam.... as i'll be running the stock 3.08 diff and Auto. The one good thing about Mock, that i know of, is that they do full-radius valve-seat profiles..... where as some well known shops havnt even HEARD of such a thing!!! I rang JPC's machinist and he hadnt even heard of a 5-angle valve job!!

Nearly every post with JMM has a complaint in it.

Sure, most people b**ch and moan,
whinge about prices etc.

But then there are a lot of people that have amazing results, with big $ spent mind you.

I've purchased quite a few things from Jim, and Brendan,

I bought a Complete Reco EF Tickford head, XR cam, Au head gasket, genuine inlet and exhaust gaskets, head bolts, thermostat gasket and a HLA rebuild kit.

I traded in my stock 94DA and a friggen spare airbag and handed over $500

Now try to get a stock reco head from a machine shop for less that 400 alone.
the gasket is worth 80 odd trade.

I'm a firm believer that if you go there knowing what you want and let them tell you what you need you get looked after.

Whilst I was there picking up my parts the next day, Brendan was bombarded with 4-5 phone calls from Tyre kickers.

The first time I went there i was walked around and shown almost every car they had, it was an excursion.

Maybe I'm just one of those guys that can get along with most people, but those whom know me, known I'm a a*** and get things cheap.

My next visit i bought a pair of pacemakers for $200 (3 days old) Brendan said don't do it, they're s**t, I proceeded even after being told they came off a car that they put scavengers on and the customer said you can keep that s**t.

I'm a Very happy customer that has spent very little money and have even had advice over the phone. and yes I have bought more since then... prolly with a huge markup to cover my initial bargains :)

What sort of results have people had with his stuff?, he has done a 13.1 in his drag EB. That has slicks, the whole car has been striped and has had the suspension to suit. Grechie has done a 13.7 with out much work done at all just a rebuilt engine a wade cam with usual airflow mods. I have been to his place and he took me around his workshop and i have never met a guy talk so much s**t in my life. He constantly was saying his stuff in the only stuff that works. He also said his extractors are the only ones that work and all others are crap and he has tested them.

He can say that though, no-one has proven him wrong by beating his 13.1.

From memory a jim mock cammed car won the NA 6 category at one of the dyno days we had at dynomotive. It was a red EB or ED XR6.

He cant say nothing else works, there are quite alot of people running low 14's high 13's in full street trim and for half the price. I have no doubt that people would be able to match that time if the car was stripped down with drag slicks and had suspension to suit.

I got 174rwkw in my El falcon with Dev 5, race headers and cat (on his dyno though). Was a s*** load of money for bad service and they didnt like answering questions later either. Having said that I lacked the knowledge to know any better so was relatively happy at the time.

Dan, yeah bfturb, the old EVLFRD, ~168rwkw with a Dev5, fresh EL XR6 motor, mild portwork done by the machine shop that did all the machining, stock EL XR6 ECU, no chip.
14.2@~99mph

I had a Dev3HL for a long time too, was great, I loved it.
Previous to my car it was in a manual converted ED Ghia (EDGHIA).
14.6 @ ~96mph
Their s**t works, regardless of whether you get along with Brendan/Jim.
Anyone who says it doesn't work is clueless.

haha at 13.7 being close to 13.1... 6 tenths is a long way in drag racing.
see how grechie goes if he pulls his seats out(which now constitutes the whole car being stripped apparently )
suspension was nothing tricky, brendan told everyone what he did.
stock springs, AU ex-taxi front shocks or some s**t, and he played around with the rear upper arm position to get instant centres right.
13.1 was with the transbraked auto too from memory, it was 13.3 with the manual.

that s**t is ancient history BTW, and still no C*** has caught him
