I have a bf 6cyl petrol non turbo car
can the knock sensor leak oil? i am presuming its oil, cause it ain't green.
or could it be something else leaking onto it?
i am sure its the knock sensor im talking about as it has a bolt to hold it in.
do they have a o ring to seal them or just thread tape or similar.
any help will be appreciated.

From a post on AFF, BFs have two knock sensors.
One under intake #2 and one under intake #5

They shouldn't leak oil, they just sit in the block and detect acoustics. (at least from my understanding)

Might be possible the bolt used to hold them on has been tensioned too tight and cracked the block or a bolt too long has been used and broken through into an oil gallery (idk just guessing, correct me if i'm wrong).
