It's a 'worked' valiant. Don't know the details, looks very sleeperish.

And the bluebird, has a SR20DET + big turbo dropped in it.

i think for the price and features you cant go past either falcon or commodore, they are both damn good in their own ways

having said that i always feel the fords have the edge over their respective commodore rivals

vn/ea: the vn looks skinny and cheap, the ea looks wider/tougher and way more solid, and the vn interior is so crap, if you ever driven a manual, the gearbox is awful, the vn engine is appaling and sounds s**t if you rev it, ea much gruntier

vs/ef: look the same basically, interiors are worlds apart, vs is a clear carryover from vn and looks really outdated, ef is much nicer inside, engines similar, but ford with heaps more torque

vt,vx/au: vt has the looks, inside and out, au has so many carryover interior parts from the ef/efl, unfortunately ecotec engine is s**t and can't move the fat a** vt body very well at all, AU engine much more convincing

vy/ba: both look good outside, both interiors are worlds better than previous versions, engine/gearbox clear advantage to ford, new v6 still wheezy and under powered

my 2c worth anyway

I agree with everything you said, with the exception of the gearbox comment.

No manual Falcon I have ever driven has had a nicer, slicker, clickety-click feel than that of my old manual VP. I wish my XR6 shifted as nicely as that. As much as I hate to say it. The shift quality and feel in the manual Commodores (V6 models) has the Falcons beaten. But it's the only aspect where Commodores are superior...

Oh dear. Then if cars don't interest and you aren't a car enthsiast (which is the vibe I'm picking up) what are you doing on a forum that is designed for Ford enthusiasts???

I don't really understand what you mean when you say who cares about how fast a car is from the lights....

I mean, show me a car enthusiast (especially one who posts on "Fordmods") that doesn't care about ecceleration...Off the line or in gear (remembering that in-gear acceleration is also a safety matter)...

Everyone is entitled to their opinion (including you) it's just that I don't think your post is suitable for this forum and this topic.

It sounds more like something that should be posted on a pedestrian or bicycling forum............
