Im thinking VCT but ill need major loom changes and ECU upgrades right? it's not really worth the effotr. the au's VCT system wasn't fantastic, and can be a pain to get a compatible cam. just get a normal AU engine and port and cam it before it goes in. |

degreaser and a high pressure hose does it for me.
and a bit of tyre black on the plastic bits gets them nice and shiney

Shes pretty stock at the moment. Is there any way i could polish up the standard heat cover over the headers to give it a mirror finish?

would the clear coat handle the heat under the engine bay, cause im sort of leaning towards that with my intake pipe and other plastics under the hood, cheers

aslong as you use the engine enamel clear coat it will be fine. normal paint WILL melt by the time you get to the end of the street. i use the engine enamel from supercheap on all the cars i have owned and they are still perfect.

AND on friday morning it is replaced with an EF lid and K&N panel filter for the 35-40 degree daily ambient temps. There is some seriously quick jap import cars in mackay now. nissan 180sx, r32, r33, toyota supra's the list goes on... Yeah there is a fair bit of fast jap crap out there and i wouldnt mind owning a r33 or supra but like you said, everyone owns one. I like having a falcon cause noone has then at my age. They are either more expensive then a commodore or they say its a ford.
