Sorry in ADVANCE theres plenty of forums on same thing, i found most took me to the same problem ..but still no go ......ok story is went for a drive last night the Monty decided she wasnt gunna run her best, she started dying in revs n surgin to get up to speeed," is like its running out of fuel" then gets all power back say im just taking off she shakes n misses a lil then shes fine till it comes back into it say 80 k then again once u wanna hit 100 shakes n misses a lil ...searched 6cyl forum last night n early this am ...this mornin changed MAP sensor over completly idled nicely reved nicely no hesitation ...BUT...i noticed when i took it out again (she still does it) i can either back off the pedal till she gets over it n shes off or try to try drive over it it bogs right down and wont rev (she holds low revs and wont rev at all till she gets her balls back n takes off then shes fine.(till it comes back)

(reco head n new gasket n bolts were done not that long ago a day or so before i became a user here (i found this site when i was dong engine chage)wondering it they didnt time the engine properly
done plugs n leads ....(debating if i should do coil pack)
im now changing fuel rail and injectors (only putting standard ones back on for now)

any one know other probs that can do this
sorry if its a useless and 1 of the many same threads but 6cyl workshop forum lead me to be Map sensor ....

Sounds like identical symptoms I suffered when my filter was blocked. Would rev fine, put it under load and I had the same drama. all it takes is 1 crap tank of fuel to block it up.

Had a very simmilar issue, and was my coil pack.
It's abit more expensive but if your not going to sell the car in the next yr just bite the bullet and change it over.
