Ride: EFII Manual

Location: Sydney
NSW, Australia

Hey guys and gals,

just wanting some advice from people who have had or have done an LPG conversion.. i currently have a EFII Manual and plan on keeping this car for a few years and want to know if you think it is worth converting to LPG.. i have heard so many mixed decisions i am hoping the people who have actually done it can give me there opinions..

also i wanted to find out how many kms outta a tank, how much it costs to fill up and how much power loss after converting...

cheers

km's out of a tank can vary, depending on how hard u put your foot down, if your doing short trips or long trips in car.

Costing of filling varies too, depends where u live, if ur further out in the city it will cost anywhere between 3-5cents roughly than city, its around 50cents a litre for me to fill up.

dunno how much power loss you actually loose depends on your gas setup but i heard u do loose a bit, i dont think i have lost a lot, i feel when i put my foot down from lights and go its a little slow but when it boots into the next gear it sure goes, but also depends how much fuel u have in car also.

at this stage its prolly not even worth doing, Fuels kinda staying where it is.
I get 550k's per tank in my EF2 manual, I suspect if you were to install a tank and have all that extra weight Loss of boot and including reduction of airflow you might break out even, However if you plan on doing Long drives frequently it may be worth it.

Im sure you can get a setup for about 500bux and do it urself and have the 'licenced' ones plumb the service line, but if it costs over 1200, I wouldn't bother.... thats a lot of Petrol!

for a good system, drive in drive out, $2500.
should get you around 550k's on the freeway, and 350-400 around town.
power loss depends on the system and tuner, but expect about 10rwkw on a well tuned system, on stock car.

my GRA EF could only manage a 15.9 on LPG
bottom ends not exactly healthy, but still fairly slow for the mods done.
