1st - Durh. As was said, Manuals were STANDARD on EF GLi's, auto was the option.

Just if you don't believe the sanity, my brother used to own a Factory Manual GLi up until recently, they are just a bit rare.

2nd - Ghia ECU's aren't XR ones, they are specific Ghia ones, they just have XR6 shift maps, and fuel maps, etc... (Only from EF Series 2 Ghia's onwards). The part numbers are totally different between XR and Ghia incidently. Ghia is definately a High Series set up (as far as ECU's go anyway).

I have an EF XR6 manual.... Look in your manual, my handbook has all the infomation on the factory T5(manual) gear ratio's.......

I have a question of my own.... The ratio's in my xr6 bug me a little.....
at 100 km/h my car is doing over 2.200rpm in 5th gear. i would much prefer 1.500-1.800rpm. what diff would i need to go for... would the diff from an automatic do the trick

dont think there would be many with dual airbags

dual airbags normally indicates a govenrment car that had it optioned, our old futura had that!

i've had 2 ef manuals now.
this one i have now came standard with abs and cruise.
i'd also like to know how many were made.

xtasy - if you wanna swap diffs, thats fine by me, mine revs at 2000rpm at 105 or so.
you have the 3.45:1 lsd diff, you want a 3.23:1 (like mine, but with LSD).
