I think they charge $200 - $250 for the modified sump by itself!

A cabbi mate picked one up with a auto gearbox for only $650 from a wrecking yard. BTW it only had 80,000kms on it.

far out, my mechanic told me i need a head gasket and may as well get a reco head and he'd charge me over a grand, if i can get a whole engine for less ill do a swap instead :p

thanks guys i found him and have given him a ring so its all good.
yeah thats not a bad price for a near new motor..I bought a 99model au motor for 200 from a wrecker..only done 100000 and im currently taking it apart and looks brand new! Cylinders still have the hatching and the main bearing have no sign of wear at all... |
