am looking for some more ponies out of the good ole eb falcon.
atm its carby, but i want to get efi ASAP.. what i really want to do is get myself an xr6 engine, diff, 5 speed and computers etc to match. anyone know the approx costs? even if i leave it as a 4 speed auto, any ideas???

was contemplating him, but am not 100% sure of everything...
are those prices fully installed, or for engine only? it would be nice to be lazy, spend 2500 on your engine and not have to install a thing yourself!

um was there an eb carby???? i thought carbies died out witht eh xf's, went to central point injection with ea, and standart mpfi with eb? correct me if im wrong

there must have been, because my eb has a carby
i can post a pic if you want... unless there was carby shaped efi :S

Hey Janek,
Timmy88EA is saying it is CFI not EFI. My girlfriend has an 1988 EA with CFI and I have a 1991 EB Fairmont Ghia and I can assure you the two are different. She has a big aircleaner on top of the CFI and I have the fuel rail and injectors of an EFI vehicle.

well what do you know... its efi...
bugger me! it looks like a freaken carby! in any case, i want to get rid of it and install mpfi. is it a big job? will i have to change the computer? if so, are the wiring harnesses compatible (ie can i just plug the new computer in?) the injectionsetup looks like a carby from the outside, buton the inside you can clearly see 2 electronic injectors where in a carby you would have the 2 venturi's... i feel like such a C**k up. im not a newbie when it comes to cars, either (just the ford 6 pot)... well, like i said before. the fist port of call is installing mpfi. (i just got the car last week, and its unreg atm, so i have as much time as i need to get it up and running, but i would want it on the road before i start my job in 2 weeks time- but not neccessarily)
