Ok, just an update. She runs beautifully. The only thing is that when i put her in Drive she has NO balls what so ever. But when i slap her in gear she's a monster! I think i have a spair round plug (3 pins) sitting in my engine bay. Am i ment to wire that plug (GearBox) upto the right wires on the manafold loom ? Appart from that all she needs is a good tune nad she will be ready to rock!

I have done the conversion before!

I would say you got a wiring loom of a 3spd auto EA MPI and you have an EA with a 4spd auto which uses 2 TPS(throttle position sensor), 1 for the gearbox and one for the ECU which is located on the throttle body.

All you need to do is splice the other TPS plug wires to the same colours on the one that's plugged in near the throttle body. Then the ECU and gearbox will have TPS hooked up.

The following is vice versa if you got a EA MPI loom with two tps plugs and a MPI inlet manifold with only 1 tps on the throttle body.

Cheers...............

Hey, i tryed wireing up the TPS plug but had no sucess. I managed to get the plug off my old manafold and wire it onto my new one (EB II). The only thing is that the engine loom colors are differnt to the TPS ones. Does this matter or do i need to get a wireing diogram (Servies Book) and investigate things more ?
