NEED HELP
Ive recently replaced the motor and box in my ef with an 02 au vct motor and a 5 speed. Everything works fine but i have bad idle hang when changing guears about roughly 2000 rpm and above. Ive done some homework and spent alot of time searching the net for a fix. Ive tried everything from base idle to IAC and nothing seems to be working ..Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas or possibly knows what the problem could be cheers tia |

what ecu are you using? if your still running the Auto ecu you will continue to have that problem

AU Falcons may not have a base Idle. I cant remember if its V8 only, or i6 as well but the code changed so that the EEC controls Base idle and no base Idle is set at the Throttle Body?

You do realize the engine's camshafts are locked in the fully advanced position.

I forgot to add, what did you do with the map sensor configuration, one runs on frequency and the other on a variable voltage.

If you were running an auto before and now a manual, the ecu will need clutch pedal information so it can drop the rpm back to idle when the pedal is pushed in other wise it will hang on.
