My 93 falcon ed 6 was running mint, I put an oil catch can in, only touching the vaccum lines from the rocker cover to intake and throtel body. I then started it an hour after it was going fine and it started ideling high, 1500, and running realy ruff then stopped. Since then I havent been able to get spark, I checked all wires, fuses I could see etc, fine.
Took off dizzy cap, rotor turns, geting power to coil but none from, I replaced the t.f.i module on dizzy with one from a running motor, still nothing, I then replaced the coil with one from a running motor, still no spark from coil. Checked all leads, from coil to dizzy, dizzy to plug, all look fine.
Help me I have run out of ideas!

Is it possible it could be the ecu, i had a similar problem in an xf ute, no spark, replaced coil and dizzy, both working condition, power to coil but nothing from. I replaced the ecu and away she went.
Would this be a similar problem in an ed? Or is there any fuses, relays, or resistors I may have missed that could cause this?

I took out the loom that runs under the log intake, the 1 that has injector wires, sensors, coil wires etc, checked all wires, replaced the resistor or what ever it is that runs to coil. still no spark!
Does the message from the dizzy to coil go through the ecu before generating the spark?
Will there be a relay for this if its the case?
If its not the ecu im sure it is just something simple and small that I have missed, any sujestions what this could be?

I had the same problem....while I was driving it...just stopped.
I changed ECU, dizzy, smartlock, BEM....nothing worked.
I was not getting power to the coil, and had no blown fuses.....so, it's now " Hot wired" from the Auto tranny connector at the top of the firewall ( car is manual ).....been running ever since.

Yep...coz I had no power at the coil....so found a wire in the auto tranny plug that had power when the key is on, and no power when the key is off.
I'm thinking I have a broken wire somewhere to power the coil......coz for a few months, while driving the car it would sometimes just konk out for no reason, and suddenly just kick back in.......then oneday it did it, and just stopped.

Finally got coon going yesterday, it was the tfi module, after trying 3 modules, and having the 1st two tested along with dizzy and coil at warren auto electriacl christchurch. They told me both modules were sweet as, dont trust testing electrical machines, Iv spent tonnes of hours trying to find another problem that didnt exsist.
