Finally got sick of the busted exhaust on my car and got it replaced today.

Tried to get paccies but they wouldn't fit because of the LPG system - the exhaust shop can get some paccies in and mod them for me though to make em fit if I want :D

Ended up with a berklee 2.5" cat back, my old cat was still ok to my suprise!

Car feels much revvier and less restricted now, doesnt feel laboured or hesitant at all. 8-)

Sounds pretty good and doesnt drone much at the moment, drones between 1st and 2nd shifts but is comfortable without a radio on up until a kick-down at 90km/h.

Is deep down low between 0-40km/h.

I'm not 100% convinced about the free tip - I reckon its waaay to big and looks cheap as hell without having rolled edges.

I'll probably get the tip replaced with a smaller, neater looking oval not that big commonwhore looking slap of rolled chrome.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the results and $380 spent. Wonder how it will sound after its carboned up.

anyways:

sounds: (taken in movie mode on a sony DSC-N1)

I started the car and walked around then stuck the camera under the tip if you wondering why it gets that much louder all of a sudden.

I didn't want to flog the piss out of it while parked in the driveway incase I woke up next doors baby too. Exhaust sounds much better in motion, alot quieter and nowhere near as deep when revved in park.

Nice sound when the idle is loud! What's the setup? 1 muff + reso?

Yeah 1 muffler with resonator.

I'll get some other drive by clips tomorrow when I get some time.

These clips are from inside while driving and didnt sound as good in the recordings as they do in person.. too much engine and not enough exhaust.

short drive around a few corners

a short 0 to 80km/h
http://members.iinet.net/~scottrm/zorst2.wav

0-100km/h with windows down (gets noisey when the wind picks up)

Bloody exxy price, got Lukey extractors and cat back exhaust on the wagon for not much more than that down here! I presume the tip cost a bit and all the rubbers and that were replaced, but still...

Yeah $380 is a bit steep. $300 would be a better price imo.
