I don't ever plan to find out if my ford is safe... :-)

but I've always lamented the fact that race harnesses and roll cages are not permitted on the road.

with the new materials available today, roll cages could be made that are not obstructive to view.. (in fact they could probably be integrated into the roof/a pillars)

I already have two external cameras on the car that I can see from the dash (on screen I mean)

They need to revisit those laws I think..

My 1 year old wears a full race type harness in the car.. I should be afforded the same luxury.. :-)

yeah... I have a camera in the front bar a few inches off the ground...... Racecam... looks great..

And I have a reverse camera that is on all the time as well..

When my pvan is done, wanted 4 cameras, one each side and maybe a HD recorder hooked up to them as well..

Have an Alpine IVA-D310 in the dash to view them.

All this is great news for Ford Australia and the safety concious buyers. I hope the new commercials help alot in the local sales cause GOD we need them to keep the locally made Blue Oval Down Under. But we still have a Prime Minister that wants to kill the Ford Falcon range even though its not a "gas guzzler" instead he wants us to buy a small hybrid with less safety stars!! In the end this safety result puts Ford Australia right up there in the GLOBAL market and with the power of the turbo range i really hope they can export someday soon and put the wind up alot of the European car manufactures at half the cost......

If Holden makes hybrid commodore,,, how far can fords be behind?

Since both GM and Ford US are both busy on this already.. all our local boys have to do is wait and take the drive train.. Holden do that now anyway and Ford are reportedly going to do it with the next model falcon (no more i6)
